MāRDAVA LATE SUMMER Retreat

SHAKE THE DUST & EMBODIED YIN IN DENMARK

AUG 6 - AUG 9 2026

Details below

A summer gathering where softness and strength meet: to shake, to embrace, to dance, to feel, and to soften into presence.
This three-day retreat invites a living balance between yielding and forward motion. We explore the element of Fire as an inner sense, the intelligence that knows when to step forward, when to pause, and when to rest.

We shake off what is not ours.
We celebrate what is alive.

We open to spaciousness to let life move through us, as us.
Returning again and again, to ourselves and to life in its essence.

This is a space to move consciously, guided by your instinct and sensitivity. To honour the intelligence of our body mind hearts.

The practices

Morning practice: Somatic movement and shake the Dust

Mornings are devoted to energising somatic movement: rhythmic, intuitive, and alive. We shake, pulse, spiral, and explore dynamic movement inspired by yoga, pilates and HIIT that invites circulation, heat, and expression.

These sessions are about letting energy move you as you. About awakening the heart, the blood, and the joy of being in motion.

Afternoon space: Integration and rest

Afternoons are spacious time for you to walk by the sea, nap, write, float, digest, enjoy sauna or do nothing at all.

Evening practice: Embodied Yin & chanting circle

Long, restorative yin sessions invite you to soften and nurture. We will also gather in a chanting circle and enjoy sauna rituals: spaces to gather and connect through sound, vibration, heat, and stillness.

The space

Our retreat home is Mellem Rummet on the beautiful island Samsø in Denmark. It is a calm and peaceful island embraced by the ocean. We are walking distant from the ocean where you can go for swims and long walks along the shore. The shala is an open, beautiful space.

We will also have a sauna for extra heat and aromatic therapy.

the teacher: LEna Charlotte

This retreat is hosted and guided by Lena Charlotte, a yoga teacher, somatic practitioner, and retreat chef.

Lena’s work lives in the meeting place between softness and power. Her teaching invites honest movement, deep listening, and the courage to feel all that life is. She weaves somatics, yoga, ritual, and seasonal wisdom into spaces that are warm, embracing, and deeply nourishing.

The chef: Bettina
