NOURISHMENT BEYOND THE PLATE
What feeds us?
Food, of course. But also movement. Pleasure. Sleep. Sunlight. Conversation. Solitude. Being outside. Feeling at home in our bodies.
We’re interested in nourishment in all its different shapes.
Over four days, we’ll explore the relationship between how we eat and how we live. Through plant-focused cooking, Ayurveda, intuitive movement and embodied practices, we’ll pay attention to appetite, sensation, energy and the rhythms that shape our days.
Not to arrive at another set of rules for living well, but to become more curious about what actually supports us, brings us pleasure and makes us feel alive.
HOW THE DAYS MOVE
FOLLOW YOUR APPETITE
Swim. Walk. Read. Nap. Explore. Creative circles. Afternoons leave room for whatever you need in each moment.
COME TO THE TABLE
Colourful plates passed around family-style. Conversation, sensory dining experiences that invite us to taste and eat with attention. Evenings unfold with conversation, tea, yin or time around the fire.
GET YOUR HANDS IN
Chop, taste, cook, learn. We’ll come together for hands-on cooking workshops, explore plant-based cooking, Ayurveda and discover a local market.
ARRIVE IN THE BODY
Morning movement, breath and embodied practices. Sometimes dynamic, sometimes quiet. An invitation to sense and be.
Meet phoebe & lena
We are two friends brought together by a love of delicious food, deep talks and belly laughs, time in nature, and creating experiences that invite people to be fully present.
Our paths have been different, but our approaches naturally complement one another.
Phoebe’s work is rooted in holistic nutrition, Ayurveda and the belief that food can be both nourishing and joyful. Through VENN, she creates dining experiences that celebrate seasonal ingredients, family-style meals and the connection that happens around the table.
With a background as a holistic plant-based chef, yoga teacher and PhD in food chemistry, Lena explores the relationship between nourishment, movement and the body. Her approach is deeply embodied, inviting us to connect more intimately with ourselves and rediscover pleasure in how we nourish and inhabit our bodies.
This retreat brings our worlds together through the things we love most: cooking, learning, moving, sharing and gathering around the table.
We cannot wait to welcome you to Mallorca.
our food
Our retreat takes place at the turning point between autumn and winter, when nature begins to settle and the food we crave becomes warmer and more grounding.
Together, we’ll cook and share seasonal, plant-based meals inspired by Mallorca’s produce and principles of the Ayurvedic kitchen. Think autumn vegetables, pumpkins and squash, dark leafy greens, legumes, herbs, fruits and warming spices prepared simply and generously.
Through cooking workshops, shared meals and a visit to a local market, we’ll explore how nourishing food can be exciting, colourful and full of flavour.
All meals, snacks, teas and coffees are included.
We can accommodate allergies and intolerances wherever possible. Please share all dietary requirements with us at least 30 days before the retreat begins.
OUR FINCA
Our home for the retreat is a beautiful finca in Valldemossa, nestled among the mountains and olive groves of the Serra de Tramuntana.
Traditional Mallorcan architecture meets a simple, modern aesthetic, with a spacious kitchen, outdoor dining terrace, swimming pool and plenty of quiet corners. Individual cottages offer privacy and intimacy, while the shared spaces invite us to cook, eat and gather together.
Between activities, the finca is yours to enjoy: swim, read, wander through the surroundings or simply spend some time doing very little.
The retreat is intentionally intimate, with space for just 8-10 guests and a choice of shared or private accommodation (only 2 private rooms).
All rooms are peaceful and comfortable, offering a place to retreat and recharge throughout your stay.
our experience
Mornings begin with movement, followed by a light breakfast and journalling prompts inspired by the theme of the day. A quiet opportunity to check in with yourself before the day unfolds.
After breakfast, we’ll come together for a workshop or experience. From plant-based cooking with Lena and Ayurvedic nutrition with Phoebe to visiting a local farmers market and discovering Mallorca’s seasonal produce, the programme is designed to offer a balance of learning and experiencing.
Afternoons are spacious and largely yours. Relax by the pool, explore the landscape, hike in the Serra de Tramuntana or, weather permitting, visit the coast. There will always be an invitation to join, but also the freedom to rest and follow what feels right for you.
As evening arrives, we’ll gather around the table for dinner. Meals are shared family-style, with simple practices that invite more presence and appreciation. Afterwards, the day winds down with digestive tea, yin yoga or time around the fire.
